Lou O'Reilly takes out the trash
Holy Moly! I did a rebrand, and the newsy has taken a new direction..
I’m excited about this, friends.
I did a quick and dirty rebrand of Sweaty Pals, and now it’s called Lou O’Reilly takes out the trash!
And in the trash is all the wellness bullshit we’ve been fed since the day we were born, all about how everything we are is completely wrong and that we need to change to be more like everyone else.
Well you know what?
(Sorry for swearing, Mum)
I’m actually done with all the lies and the nonsense about health and fitness and food and wellness. I’m in that “permanently exhausted pigeon” phase of my life, and frankly, there’s no more room for this trash any longer. And I know my friends are in the same boat.
So out it goes.
This newsy is still about health things, but with a swerve towards carving out the truth from the bullshit. Figuring out what to avoid. I’m going to highlight all of the things that are wrong, give you reasons why - usually backed with science, but sometimes I’ll back it by lived experience or professional experience too, so you don’t have to spend a single second debating with yourself over whether you need to purchase Happy Mammoth menopause diet pills. You don’t and just quietly, Happy Mammoth are on my list to rip to shreds over their claims.
Finally, a bit of housekeeping.
In case you were wondering, I’m keeping my url sweatypals.nz because I don’t want to lose the links to my previous posts. Also, it’s easy to remember if you want to check out the homepage and have a scrounge around the archives.
It’s always been my intention to write every week. But sometimes the wheels fall off and I don’t quite manage it, so I’m just going to apologise now in advance for all the times I don’t manage a weekly newsy. I know y’all have got my back and won’t be that worried about it, but if it does start to grate on you, please fire me a reply to any email and let me know.
I think that’s it.
Welcome to the new newsy - Lou O’Reilly (that’s me) takes out the trash.
Sending lots of love and hugs to you, especially if you’re doing it tough right now.
